62A picture is worth a thousand words?
I have noticed that in many forums, people do not use words anymore. Everything has to be these glitter pictures. Why is that?
To be honest I have been known to do the same thing, but then I realized the reason I was doing it was because, I really didnt have anything worthwhile to say. I can honestly say it was not relevant to any forum thread..but they sure were cute!
Upon reflection, I think I did in part to show what I felt was support to a persons thread, I almost felt guilty If I didnt do something and in part to let my presence be known.
Thank goodness I have passed that point and have learnt how to post properly to what people have to say.
What does that mean?
Quite simply people create forums, blog, hubs because they have something worth saying. It has value, a meaning to them.
When all we can do is put a picture on their forum or a business link we are not respecting people, we are in effect spamming them not to mention taking away from what they have to say.
Here are a few things I have learned:
1. When you are posting any comment to a person, create a conversation that is relevant to what they are talking about.
2. Treat the persons forum with respect. If you do not agree with them, you can be polite or you can walk away.
3. Always remember you are in effect an ambassador for your business. Act professionaly
4.If you are going to state facts, you better be able to back them up.
5. Use your signatures wisely. Think about it, if you have a zillion links in your signature, what does that say about you? Maybe you need to rethink about how you are doing things
I am sure there are many more things that could be mentioned, if you know of any, then you are welcome to share.
You know, pictures may say a thousand words, but to me the words have more meaning.

Thank you Scott for your very kind words. I think part of the problem is that on many communites you get points for making comments. It is easier to find a picture and wham..points given. While this may be fun, I have to wonder at the purpose to this. Now here is an interesting question. If you have 100 friends on a community and you send the same picture to all of them..is that spam? My next question would be--- what is the relevency to these Pictures? So many questions not enought answers.
If you can answer any of them, I for one would love to hear it.

I will go out on a limb here and say that when people start to do this form of glitter comunication.
It almost seem's like they are on the phone or mabye one of the many forms of computer communication and they are in competion to see how many they can get up in the least amount of time.
Don't get me wrong I like it sometime's but if you ever notice it is like the glitter welcome wagon come's out on fridays and saturdays to leave some words or a glitter picture ............. most say have a good weekend or something.
I believe that it could be taken as a cryout for help ......... meaning maybe this is what they were taught or something like that.
But I also will add that alot of the communities make it real easy for this to happen over and over.
Anyway I could go on and on ........ but I will close with this.
All of this great information is great and if people have a open mind a will allow themselves to learn from this GOTCHA type message.
And I say this because we all have done this before .................. but I look back in time as I usually do when I read a message like this.
Some might read this and think nothing of it but those who read and get something out of might thank Diane one day for opening thier eyes.
And remember picture's are cool but when you rely on them overkill sets in
